Several years ago, our CEO, Dirk Grunewald, after extensive experience with PIM/MDM systems, identified significant shortcomings in many of them. While some excelled in areas like performance or data mapping, they often fell short in crucial aspects such as API access or user-friendly interfaces. Additionally, many systems catered well to retailers and vendors but lacked essential features for manufacturing and distribution.

Recognizing the need for a comprehensive PIM/MDM solution that could serve all types of businesses, Mr. Grunewald leveraged his years of experience to identify the essential features a system should have. This realization led him to envision a cloud-based PIM system that would bridge the gaps left by other systems, simplifying the data management process. Thus, pimCloud became his mission.

After years of refining this idea, he connected with our current CTO, Tom Westbrook, who shared his vision and had the technical expertise to bring it to life. Following several successful proofs of concept, pimCloud was born. Today, we have a dedicated team continually working to introduce new features and enhance the system's capabilities.
